设计思路:Ghost nets refer to abandoned or lost synthetic fishing nets in the ocean, made from non-biodegradable materials that can float in the sea for centuries, becoming a deadly source of marine plastic pollution. In the Pacific region, they account for up to 46% of marine plastic waste, with at least 640,000 metric tons added annually. These nets entangle and kill marine life such as whales and sea turtles, destroy coral reefs and ecological balance, while also releasing microplastics that pollute water bodies, enter the food chain, and ultimately threaten human health. Root causes include outdated fisheries management, inadequate waste disposal systems, and a lack of public awareness.
This design centers on visual language, combining pop-up exhibitions, AR interactive experiences, and card games to intuitively showcase the hidden dangers of ghost nets. Aimed at younger audiences, it seeks to enhance awareness of their environmental impact, inspire collective participation in marine conservation, and drive public attention and practical change through innovative formats.
